Although wedding is one of the most significant events in one’s lives, it is also the one that will cause you the most stress and sleepless nights.

It is because weddings are so grand and complex that you will not be able to leave one aspect to others. While you may need to rely on others, it is important that you put your best effort into the wedding.

These are my wedding tips so you can have fun with the planning process, rather than worrying about everything.

Timing is everything so start planning your wedding early. This will allow you to plan the wedding at least a year ahead of time. This is especially important if you have a destination wedding.

Another thing that takes time, especially for brides, is wedding dresses. Start looking for your wedding dress as soon you get engaged. This will allow you enough time to find the right dress and have any necessary alterations done.

Next, make sure you have sent save the dates cards to all guests. Also, finalize the guest list.

A wedding planner can be a great help if you plan to hire one. Most wedding planners book well in advance by two years. Make sure you confirm the date of your wedding according to the availability of the planner.

If you plan on having your wedding in a faraway place, then fly at least once to see what hotels are available there and if they have wedding packages. This is essential as the Wedding will usually cost you more. It is important to ask for the wedding coordinator on the day of the wedding and to talk with him or her regularly about all arrangements.
